尺八奏者

国内はもとより海外でも精力的に公演、教授活動を行う。
「百の生業を持つもの」という意味での昔ながらの百姓にも倣い、無農薬の米作り、翻訳、通訳、イラスト等々、様々な仕事を持つ。
尺八とスケートボードのドキュメンタリー作品「根っこは何処へゆく」を監督。

2026年1月21日　「いきをつなぐ」をato.archivesからリリース。

Shakuhachi Player

Katsuya has had many successful shows not only in Japan but also overseas.
He is also an organic rice farmer. He believes that shakuhach is engaged to nature and its environment, and considers farming as part of his shakuhachi practice.

He is also a translator, illustrator, and documentary filmmaker. In 2015, he released his first documentary film, “Future Is Primitive,” which has screened throughout Japan and overseas, including the UK, Croatia, and China. Now DVDs and books of the film are available.

1st solo album ‘Connecting IKI‘ was released on Jan 21 2026 from ato.archives.
